As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and innovation, Future University in Egypt (FUE) has achieved a distinguished international accomplishment through its participation in the MINOAN ROBOTSPORTS COMPETITION, Global Olympiad 2026, held on the island of Crete, Greece, from April 1 to April 7, 2026. The event brought together elite student teams from around the globe in a dynamic and highly competitive setting.
The MINOAN ROBOTSPORTS COMPETITION is recognized as one of the leading global championships in robotics, uniquely structured to reflect the spirit and organization of the Olympic Games. It provides participants with an exceptional platform to demonstrate their technical expertise, engineering capabilities, and teamwork in an environment that promotes innovation and cross-cultural collaboration. This year’s edition featured participation from more than 33 countries, highlighting the scale, diversity, and intensity of the competition.
Throughout the event, FUE students showcased outstanding performance, achieving 2nd and 3rd place in the Archery competition, a category that demands high levels of precision in robot design and programming, as well as advanced analytical skills. This achievement reflects the students’ strong technical foundation and their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical, high-pressure scenarios.
In addition, FUE secured 6th place through its participation in an international alliance with two other teams from different countries. This collaborative experience provided students with valuable exposure to multicultural teamwork, enhancing their communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills in a global context.
This remarkable achievement underscores Future University in Egypt’s dedication to empowering its students, fostering innovation, and encouraging active engagement in international platforms. It also reflects the university’s growing global presence and its continuous efforts to prepare graduates who are capable of competing and excelling in the rapidly evolving fields of technology and science.
