Computing Fundamentals

The course provides students with the basic knowledge of the computing discipline and the necessary skills how to use computers. Topics covered in this course are introduction to computers, data representation and number systems, computer hardware, computer software, computer networks, the internet and its emerging applications, cybersecurity, computing professional ethics and social impact, and problem solving methods (algorithmic method). Hands-on is provided through a series of exercises, assignments and projects.
