Personal Info: Awad Khalil is currently the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research of Faculty of Computers and Information Technology at Future University in Egypt. He received his B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering in 1970 from Military Technical College (MTC) and M.Sc. and PhD. in Computer Engineering from Rennes-I university, France, in 1979 and 1981, respectively. After his graduation, he contributed in the foundation of the first Computer Engineering program in 1973 at MTC. Later, Khalil contributed in developing many computer engineering and computer science programs at several national and private universities in Egypt and in the Arabic region. He served as a professor at MTC from 1981 to 1998, held several academic and administrative position, and retired after serving as Vice President from 1996 to 1998. Then. Dr. Khalil was appointed full time professor in Computer Science and Engineering department of the American University in Cairo from 1998 to 2020. His current research areas include mainly Cybersecurity, Digital Web systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data & Big Data Analytics. View More...
