About FCIT

Faculty of Computers and Information Technology (FCIT) was founded in 2006 at Future University in Egypt with a main mandate of providing high-quality educational opportunities to students from all segments of Egyptian society as well as from other countries, and to contribute to Egypt’s development, culture, intellectual life, and services for Egypt and the region. FCIT offers programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The mission of FCIT is to provide a high-quality Computing and Information Technology educational environment with the aim to produce valued professionals in the field of computing and IT who will be productive leaders in their profession. Students are educated to acquire an appreciation of their responsibilities to society and to prepare themselves for successful careers and leadership. FCIT maintains high standards of academic achievement, professional behavior, and ethical conduct. Vision Attaining a premium position in the field of computing and informatics on the national and international levels. As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and innovation, Future University in Egypt (FUE) has achieved a distinguished international accomplishment through its participation in the MINOAN ROBOTSPORTS COMPETITION, Global Olympiad 2026, held on the island of Crete, Greece, from April 1 to April 7, 2026. The event brought together elite student teams from around the globe in a dynamic and highly competitive setting.
As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and innovation, Future University in Egypt (FUE) has achieved a distinguished international accomplishment through its participation in the MINOAN ROBOTSPORTS COMPETITION, Global Olympiad 2026, held on the island of Crete, Greece, from April 1 to April 7, 2026. The event brought together elite student teams from around the globe in a dynamic and highly competitive setting. The MINOAN ROBOTSPORTS COMPETITION is recognized as one of the leading global championships in robotics, uniquely structured to reflect the spirit and organization of the Olympic Games. It provides participants with an exceptional platform to demonstrate their technical expertise, engineering capabilities, and teamwork in an environment that promotes innovation and cross-cultural collaboration. This year’s edition featured participation from more than 33 countries, highlighting the scale, diversity, and intensity of the competition. Throughout the event, FUE students showcased outstanding performance, achieving 2nd and 3rd place in the Archery competition, a category that demands high levels of precision in robot design and programming, as well as advanced analytical skills. This achievement reflects the students’ strong technical foundation and their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical, high-pressure scenarios. In addition, FUE secured 6th place through its participation in an international alliance with two other teams from different countries. This collaborative experience provided students with valuable exposure to multicultural teamwork, enhancing their communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills in a global context. This remarkable achievement underscores Future University in Egypt’s dedication to empowering its students, fostering innovation, and encouraging active engagement in international platforms. It also reflects the university’s growing global presence and its continuous efforts to prepare graduates who are capable of competing and excelling in the rapidly evolving fields of technology and science.

The Faculty of Computers & Information Technology at Future University in Egypt (FUE) proudly welcomed, on April 20th, a distinguished Russian delegation representing Positive Technologies Inc., a globally recognized leader in cybersecurity, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and threat intelligence.
The Faculty of Computers & Information Technology at Future University in Egypt (FUE) proudly welcomed, on April 20th, a distinguished Russian delegation representing Positive Technologies Inc., a globally recognized leader in cybersecurity, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and threat intelligence. This visit marks a significant milestone in FUE’s ongoing efforts to expand international collaboration and strengthen its position as a leading academic institution in cybersecurity education and research. The visit commenced with an official meeting chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, attended by the Vice Deans for Education and Student Affairs, Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and Graduate Studies, alongside Heads of Departments, the Cybersecurity Program Coordinator, the Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, and the MCS Head of COE. Following the meeting, the delegation toured the faculty’s advanced laboratories and facilities, where they engaged with teaching assistants to gain deeper insights into the university’s technical infrastructure, training capabilities, and hands-on learning environment. The visit concluded with a high-level meeting with the University President and the Vice President for Student Affairs, emphasizing the importance of strengthening institutional partnerships and exploring long-term strategic collaboration.Advancing Cybersecurity Education and Innovation The discussions were held within the framework of establishing strategic cooperation agreements aimed at enhancing cybersecurity capabilities through knowledge exchange and industry integration. Both parties explored structured mechanisms for collaboration, including: • Expert-led sessions on emerging cyber threats • Secure system design and architecture • Advanced offensive and defensive cybersecurity techniques The partnership also aims to support: • Development of industry-driven research and graduation projects • Integration of real-world case studies and threat intelligence insights • Enrichment of academic curricula with practical, industry-aligned contentBridging Academia and Industry The collaboration further includes access to advanced cybersecurity tools, simulation environments, and hands-on laboratory experiences that reflect real-world challenges. Through direct engagement with industry experts, faculty members will be empowered to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application—ultimately contributing to the development of highly skilled cybersecurity professionals. This initiative reinforces FUE’s commitment to preparing graduates capable of addressing the rapidly evolving global cybersecurity landscape and supporting digital transformation with resilience and innovation.
